Talk to voters in Maine to preserve marriage equaliy
Maine is facing a similar anti-gay, Prop 8-type ballot measure in the upcoming November election that could strip away the freedom to marry for gay and lesbian couples.
Because Maine is currently under the same terrible attacks that we in California endured during the Prop 8 campaign – and is at serious risk of losing – VFE is doing our part by helping to organize phone banks here in L.A., where we’ll be calling voters in Maine and urging them to Vote No on 1.
Volunteers will receive a full training, and experienced coaches will be there to help out. Every Sunday 10am-2pm until Election Day!
Also, on the crucial day before the election, and on Election Day itself, Vote for Equality will host all-day phone banks, to help the No on 1 campaign Get Out the Vote.
